July 1, 2014

University Relations

Arctic-Son UAF Summer Sessions & Lifelong Learning will present a free exclusive screening of the documentary film "Arctic Son" on July 7 at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium.

After the film, Tom Irons and Jean Aspen will answer questions and sign books.

The story began in the 1992 when Irons and Aspen flew into Alaska’s remote Brooks Range with their 6-year-old son, Luke, and friend Laurie. They candidly filmed their lives as they built a cabin and learned to live in this vast and beautiful land. This documentary captures the very essence of human struggle, hardship, triumphs and simple joys.
