Food safety certification offered

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service will host a certified food protection manager workshop Jan. 15 in Fairbanks and Palmer and at videoconference sites in Kotzebue and Sitka.

The deadline to register is Dec. 20 so participants may receive class materials and locations beforehand. Palmer Extension agent Julie Cascio and food research technician Kate Idzorek will teach the food safety workshop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. State regulations require that all food establishments have at least one certified food protection manager on staff.
