Does your bucket list include being a movie star? Here’s your big break!

Theatre UAF announces the final open casting call for extras in The Messenger, an original film written and directed by UAF faculty member Kade Mendelowitz.

Theatre UAF is shooting a studio audience scene in Salisbury Theatre 12:45 – 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5th. Community members above 16 years of age, of all genders, ethnicities, and body types are encouraged to come be a part of this unique opportunity. No lines to say, but you do get to clap, boo, “awwwww” and laugh. In the movie this scene depicts the studio audience of the hottest talk show in America.

This scene is limited to the first fifty people who check in. Interested parties can check in at 12:45 p.m. at the Theatre UAF box office in the Great Hall on the UAF campus. The shoot will last until approximately 6:00pm. Extras should show up on set dressed in semi-casual, attractive clothing one might wear out in the evening. Skirts, pants, dresses, nice jeans are all ok, but please, no holes or tears. NO Carharts, cargo pants, hoodie sweatshirts. Colors welcome. Please avoid extremely bright shades, and limit black, especially on top. No white clothing, please. No obvious logos or graphic images. Large patterns okay but please avoid stripes. Avoid strapless or spaghetti strap tops.

The scene takes place in Burbank, Calif., so short sleeves or lightweight long sleeves are most appropriate. Please avoid heavy work boots and chunky, wintery shoes. There are places to store your coats/sweaters at the theatre, and restrooms available for changing.
