The University of Alaska Museum of the North will offer this month's installment of the ARTSci teen program on Monday, Feb. 17, from noon-2 p.m.

This month's workshop will focus on paleo art, which is art that uses scientific information to depict prehistoric life. Participants will view paleo artwork by Ray Troll and discover how paleo artists represent past life. They will work with patterns and color to create their own paleo art.

ARTSci workshops are open to 13- to 18-year-olds. Registration is $20, or $15 for museum members, and preregistration is required. The museum will host additional workshops later this year. For more information and to register, visit http://bit.ly/uamnartsci or call 907-474-7505.
