Fairbanks UA Scholars recruitment event Nov. 3

Each fall the UA Scholars office hosts a series of events in Fairbanks, Anchorage and Juneau designed to bring
UA Scholars together with staff and faculty members from each campus.
This year the Fairbanks UA Scholars recruitment event will take place 7 p.m. Thursday,
Nov. in the Great Hall at the Fine Arts Complex.
This event is the first opportunity UAF faculty and staff have to meet UA Scholars
from the Fairbanks area. All students attending will be high school seniors, many
of them interested the UA system. The evening has a simple format including a welcome
by Vice Chancellor Mike Sfraga, a speech by President Gamble, and then brief recognition
of each scholar in attendance. The rest of the evening is set aside for mingling,
giving students and their parents the opportunity to visit with faculty members.
