The Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra opens its 59th concert season with a Brahms festival featuring guest artist David Kim. Kim is the concertmaster of the famed Philadelphia Orchestra and will perform with Eduard Zilberkant Thursday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Davis Concert Hall. The program consists of the complete sonatas for violin and piano by Brahms. Sunday, Oct. 1, Kim will perform the Brahms Violin Concerto with the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra. Zilberkant will conduct the concert, which also features Brahms' Symphony No. 4 in the second half of the program.

Tickets are available at the symphony website. Due to construction in the Regents' Great Hall, concertgoers are advised to arrive early and to enter through the back (north side) of Davis Concert Hall.
