Faculty recital

Dr. Morris Palter will be performing works by Iannis Xenakis, famed vibraphonist,
Gary Burton, and a theatre-percussion work by Jean-Charles Francois. The program will
also feature two works by Australian composer, Christopher Tonkin. Christopher will
be in attendance, flying all the way from Perth to be here. Both of his pieces feature
"real-time" electronic processed sounds. Very cool and sonically pleasing! We hope
some of you can make it. Special guest performer - Jun Watabe (UAF single-reed studio
professor).
Everyone is invited to this faculty recital Thursday, March 10 at 8 p.m. (Charles
W. Davis Concert Hall). Admission is FREE!
