Faculty development drop-ins: topics in academic advising

September 5, 2018

University Relations

The Academic Advising Center is hosting faculty development drop-in opportunities every Thursday throughout the fall semester from 1-2 p.m. in Gruening 206.

These academic advising-related topics include: understanding placement scores, exploring the general education requirements, navigating DegreeWorks, Schedule Planner, UAONLINE and more. These professional development drop-ins are designed to help faculty academic advisors refresh or increase their knowledge of advising-related topics, but everyone is welcome. Each sessions will also allow time for general questions and answers.

An RSVP is not required, and snacks will be provided. Certificates of completion will be awarded to those who attend three or more sessions. For more information, please contact Ginny Kinne, director of the Academic Advising Center, at 474-1942 or vrkinne@alaska.edu.
