April 25, 2014

Cornerstone

UAF Student Support Services has openings for four faculty advisors during the fall 2014 semester.

Applicants should be employed in science, technology, engineering or math and have one year of advising experience.

Advising for SSS requires two or three hours per week during the semester, with additional hours during key times.

Faculty will mentor SSS students, connect them with research and internship opportunities and assist with course registration, graduation planning and other advising functions.

Applicants should have demonstrated experience in and commitment to multicultural education and educational opportunity for disadvantaged students. Those coming from similar backgrounds or who have overcome similar barriers are strongly encouraged to apply.
