The event will take place from 2:30-6 p.m. at 712 W. 12th St. The public is invited to meet Southeast Alaska agents Sarah Lewis and Darren Snyder and acting Director of Extension Milan Shipka. Information will be available on Extension’s gardening, food preservation, health and 4-H youth programs and upcoming workshops. Individuals may also request programs or browse the office’s lending library. Light refreshments will be served.

Extension moved to the space in late October. The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service is part of a national educational network affiliated with land-grant universities and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Agents and staff provide research-based practical information and youth programs. For more information, contact the office at 907-523-3280.
