Extension offers help with fish preservation

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service can offer dipnetters and anglers help preserving their fish.

Agents teach hands-on classes, and Extension has online canning lessons, DVDs and free publications on canning, freezing and smoking fish at www.uaf.edu/ces.

Agents will also test pressure canner gauges for free to ensure they are adjusted correctly. For more information, contact your district agent or call 1-877-520-5211.
