Dipnetters and anglers can look to the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service for help preserving the catch.

Canned salmon Extension offers hands-on classes and online canning lessons, DVDs and free publications on canning, freezing and smoking fish at www.uaf.edu/ces.

Agents also test pressure canner gauges to ensure they are adjusted correctly. For more information, contact your district agent or call 1-877-520-5211.
