Environmental historian Bathsheba Demuth will explore the question "Do Whales Judge Us?" on Monday, Oct. 26, at 4 p.m. via Zoom.

Demuth's presentation, hosted by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Honors College climate scholars program, will address questions involving history, the environment and society.

Demuth is an assistant professor of history at Brown University and the author of "Floating Coast: An Environmental History of the Bering Strait." The book was a Nature top 10 book of 2019 and was named a best book of 2019 by National Public Radio, Library Journal and Kirkus Reviews.
