Third Thursday

This post originally said this session was Thursday, March 19. It will actually take place Thursday, March 26.

You’ll want to ditch your papers, tests and quizzes after next week’s Third Thursday session on engaging assignments.

UAF eLearning instructional designer Jennifer Moss will cover the myriad assignments that are now possible using online tools. The Office of Information Technology's Chris Beks will talk about Blackboard’s often overlooked tools that can work to your advantage.

Join them Thursday, March 26, at noon in 319B Bunnell to learn how to determine what constitutes evidence of learning in your course, how to create rubrics and instructions for students, and how to choose the right assessment method for your new assignments.

RSVP to Gary Bender at gabender@alaska.edu. Limited space is available. Pizza will be provided.

Third Thursday is a series of hourlong sessions designed to present you with new ideas for your classroom, whether you’re teaching face-to-face, fully online or some combination of both. In-person attendees get future preference for iTeach, CITE Fellows, etc.
