Students from the UAF Honors College are continuing to work with the 354th Fighter Wing’s Iceman Spark on Eielson Air Force Base.

The students represent a variety of majors, including psychology,  computer science, civil engineering, anthropology and biology. They form collaborative, interdisciplinary teams to work on challenges Eielson faces, which generally focus on the uniqueness of the Arctic environment. Eielson has identified this partnership with UAF as a priority for their strategic plan.

The honors students are engaged in a variety of innovation and design projects, some of which have high-impact potential for the base, and others which have high commercialization potential, both for the students and the institution.
