The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host a free First Friday event, "Earth, Wind and Fire," Oct. 4 from 5-7 p.m. in Room 204 of the Akasofu Building on the UAF campus. The event will feature artwork created by University of Alaska Fairbanks faculty and staff members, students and community members centered around the theme "earth, wind and fire." Additionally, work from the Geodata Center and Map Sales Office will be pulled from the archives and on display at the event.

The Akasofu Building is adjacent to the Geophysical Institute on West Ridge. Families are welcome and refreshments will be provided.
