Duffy receives Rasmuson fellowship

UAF adjunct instructor and alumna Annie Duffy recently received an $18,000 Rasmuson Foundation Individual Artist Fellowship. Duffy is a mixed media artist whose current work focuses on vessels made of paper, cotton, bent wood and beeswax.
During her fellowship, Duffy will upgrade her studio to allow for larger and site-specific vessels for exhibiting in Seattle, Homer and Fairbanks. She also plans to expand her connections outside of Alaska and, in doing so, will travel to Sweden to create new work. This is Annie’s second Individual Artist Award.
