Dona Brandle-Boylan has been named a KUAC outstanding volunteer. Brandle-Boylan received the 2018 Spirit of KUAC Award in April as part of  National Volunteer Month.

“I’m humbled and slightly embarrassed by the recognition, but at the same time appreciate that the time and money I donate to KUAC result in endless rewards at my end in a wide variety of quality, well-rounded and thorough programing on TV and radio,” Brandle-Boylan said.

“KUAC is my window to the world, and it’s the finest public station I’ve experienced.”

Brandle-Boylan is currently the chair of KUAC’s Community Advisory Council, and performs as the Kids Club mascot, Kitt, at children's events.

"She has taken Kitt to the next level by giving him a backstory, introducing him to kids of all ages through his storybook adventures that are now being developed into a coloring book to be distributed at schools during story times,” said Gretchen Gordon, KUAC assistant general manager.

Brandle-Boylan has volunteered with KUAC for 15 years, including at events such as the Red Green Regatta, the fall and spring fundraisers, and Golden Days.
