The annual Delta Harvest Wrap-up will take place Nov. 3 at the Delta Career Advancement Center in Delta Junction.

The gathering, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., will bring producers, agricultural researchers and farm agency representatives together to talk about current research efforts and research needs and to share observations about the farming season.

University of Alaska Fairbanks researchers will include Steven Seefeldt, Mingchu Zhang and Bob Van Veldhuizen, who will talk about a crop protection and pest management grant and grain variety trials. Meghan Lene of the Salcha-Delta Soil and Water Conservation District will speak about bromegrass hay fertilizer trials and a lime study, and Delta Extension agent Phil Kaspari will provide an update on local weed management challenges. Lloyd Wilhelm of the Farm Service Agency and Mike Stephens of the Natural Resources Conservation Service will also provide program updates.

The Delta Junction district office of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service will host the event. For more information, call Kaspari at 907-895-4215.
