Chandalar pedestrian corridor construction

Contractors have started working on the new South Chandalar pedestrian corridor between the Gruening Building and Wickersham Hall. This project will reduce the traffic congestion in the area and improve pedestrian safety. The project encompasses the South Chandalar/Ambler Way intersection, along the south side of Wickersham and up to the west side of Gruening. Vehicular traffic will be barred from this area except for emergency vehicles. Construction is scheduled to end the week of Aug. 16.
