Congressional fellow to share energy perspectives

Ron Faibish, a U.S. Senate committee fellow and nuclear engineer, will discuss modular nuclear reactors and energy and water issues in Alaska on Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in 531 Duckering Building on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus.

Faibish is a fellow with the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, where he works for Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, the panel's senior Republican member.  Since 2003, Faibish has been a principal nuclear and chemical engineer with Argonne National Laboratory, where he has worked on nuclear power, the energy-water nexus and other issues.
