The University of Alaska Fairbanks is offering a lower-cost option for summer students who want to take courses but don't want to earn academic credit.

Under the new Community Adventures in Lifelong Learning program from UAF Summer Sessions, students can take certain courses for $100. The courses do not generate credit and students will not take tests, submit homework or participate in labs. Students who take courses through the program cannot petition or test for credit for that course in the future.

The $100 fee is due by the first day of class and is nonrefundable.
