CNSM seeks graduate students in atmospheric sciences

The College of Natural Science and Mathematics is accepting applications for graduate students scholarships in the Atmospheric Sciences. The positions will be based in Fairbanks.

There are openings for three highly qualified MS or PhD applicants interested in pursing research with WRF/Chem (Weather Research and Forecasting/Chemistry) on emission impacts on air quality in the Fairbanks PM2.5 non-attainment area, interior Alaska, and Glacier Bay. Students will have access to the Arctic Region Supercomputing Center and data from observational networks. As many of the research activities are carried out in close cooperation with scientists all over the world, the students will gain international experience.

Applicants should have strong backgrounds in mathematics, physics, and atmospheric sciences or related fields. Application for admission is available online.
