Chantelle McGinness was appointed the director for Planning, Analysis and Institutional Research by Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Anupma Prakash. McGinness has served as PAIR's acting director since May 2020.

McGinness has nine years of institutional research experience at University of Alaska Fairbanks and the UA System, and prior experience supporting student success efforts, particularly for underrepresented populations seeking postsecondary education. She holds a Master of Science degree in statistics from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Southern Polytechnic State University. Prior to joining UAF, McGinness provided administrative support for SPSU's African-American Male Initiative and the Peach State Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation, sponsored by the National Science Foundation.

“Chantelle’s relevant experience, her intimate familiarity with UAF, her passion for institutional research, and meeting the needs of all stakeholder groups is a great advantage for us,” Prakash said.

"I feel absolutely honored to continue serving my alma mater in this capacity," McGinness said. "I look forward to leading the PAIR team in provisioning institutional information necessary to promote UAF’s mission."
