Celebrate Constitution Day on Sept. 17

Students are invited to lunch on pizza while they talk about the Constitution and
the First Amendment on Constitution Day on Monday, Sept. 17.
Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Anupma Prakash and Vice Chancellor for Student
Affairs Keith Champagne invite students to join the discussion from noon to 1:30 p.m.
in Engineering Learning and Innovation Facility Room 401. Pizza and punch will be
served.
A panel will include students Bernard Aoto, president of the Model UN and student
advocacy director at the Associated Students of UAF, and Sheridan Laapui, a national
competitor in the We the People program. Faculty members Terrence Cole and Chanda
Meek, respective history and political science professors, will also participate.
Heidi Shepard, UAF student involvement coordinator, will moderate.
