Over the next six months, construction will going on at the Carlson Center as the Alaska Nanooks hockey team will be getting a brand-new locker room as well as new offices, training room, meeting rooms, etc.

Right here at alaskananooks.com, we will be providing updates as much as once a week to keep the Nanook Nation informed of the construction so everyone will be able to see all the phases of the construction process.

In certain areas, you will notice vast differences while other areas will slowly but surely come along until its completion in September.

Most recently, you will notice the frames of each room has taken shape to provide a little more detail on how each room will look.

The State of Alaska appropriated four million dollars to fund the construction of the entire project that will not just benefit the Nanooks but the community as it will add more locker space for area teams that would be practicing and competing at the Carlson Center. While the state provided money to construct this project, the team is responsible for completing the process by furnishing the team's area at the arena.
So, the hockey team and Face Off Club have begun an initiative for the renovation process with a goal of raising $100,000 each to offset the estimated costs of furnishing of the locker room and other team space at the Carlson Center.
