Campus to celebrate SpringFest

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will celebrate SpringFest, Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27 at various locations at the UAF campus. The annual event celebrates the arrival of spring in the Interior with competitions, concerts and barbecues for the campus community.
Following is a schedule of the weekend’s events:
Thursday
11 a.m. — Kickoff barbecue at the Wood Center (Food served inside the building, must
have a PolarExpress card)
1 p.m. — Dance-off at the Wood Center
1:35 p.m. — Watermelon drop off the Gruening Building
6 p.m. — Disc golf tournament - Meet at Hole 4
7 p.m. — Lottanobooza begins at Hess Rec Center
8 p.m. — UAF Film Festival at Salisbury Theatre
8 p.m. — Frosty Bottom Boys at The Pub (must be 21 or older)
10 p.m. — SRC late-nighter with Fear Factor eating competition and blacklight dodgeball
Friday — no classes
9 a.m. — SpringFest Service, meets at Wood Center Lounge
Noon — Ice dodgeball at Patty ice arena
1 p.m. — Field day and barbecue inside SRC (must have a PolarExpress card)
10 p.m. — Club Tropic at Hess Rec Center
Saturday
9 a.m. — Cyclocross registration
10 a.m. — Climbing competition and Cyclocross race at SRC
Noon — Club Fair inside Wood Center
Noon — Fun Run at SRC (register online)
Noon — Quidditch tournament at Beluga Field
1 p.m. — Rugby tournament, across from Beluga Field
2 p.m. — Video game tournament in Wood Center Multilevel Lounge
2 p.m. — Assassins wrap-up/awards at Wood Center
4 p.m. — Karaoke at Wood Center Multilevel Lounge
6 p.m. — 8th annual Taste of Alaska Beer Festival at The Pub (must be 21 or older)
8 p.m. — Theophilus London concert at the SRC
Midnight — Nanook Theater: "Identity Thief" at Hess Rec Center
