Call for UAF Meritorious Service Award nominees

The UAF Meritorious Service Awards Committee is reaching out to its extended communities
to request nominations for the UAF Meritorious Service Award for the 2012 - 2013 academic
year.
The UAF Meritorious Service Award is a high and rare honor, given to individuals for
outstanding service that is typically locale-oriented. Nominees should be individuals
who have demonstrated evidence of significant services publicly, academically, voluntarily
or philanthropically; have provided services to UAF or to one of the community campuses,
or to an Alaska community; have longevity of commitment and/or service; and/or diversity
– culturally and/or discipline.
The official criteria for this award is outlined in the UA Board of Regents’ policy
(Part X – Academic Policy – Chapter 10.03.30).
To submit a nomination, please mail or email letters of nomination and supporting
documentation to:

In addition to the letter of nomination, nominations may include the nominee’s resume, and up to five letters of support as supporting documentation.
The nomination deadline is Friday, Aug. 31. UAF will hand present the awards during UAF's commencement ceremony May 2013.
