The UAF Justice Department and Alaska Department of Corrections are co-hosting a screening of the documentary "Breaking the Cycle," from 6:30-9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in Schaible Auditorium.

The film, directed by Tomas Lindh and John Stark, follows the warden of Halden, Norway’s maximum-security prison, as he tours U.S. prisons to discuss a new approach to incarceration, which focuses on rehabilitation.  Following the screening, Commissioner Dean Williams will lead a community conversation with Mike Daku, chair and associate clinical professor of the UAF Justice Department.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information email Mike Daku at mjdaku@alaska.edu.
