Birch bark weaving workship offered in Palmer

Birchbasket UAF School of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences and UAF Cooperative Extension Service are hosting a birch bark weaving workshop Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The workshop will take place at the Matanuska Experiment Farm in Palmer. Students will peel bark from birch trees and create ornaments, mats and baskets. The fee is $20.
