February 4, 2019

University Relations

The Alaska IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence is requesting curriculum development proposals for biomedical and health sciences courses.

Applications will be accepted until March 29, 2019, at 5 p.m. Alaska time.

Priority will be given to proposals that:

  • Enhance content within the core curriculum.

  • Fulfill general education requirements (e.g. BIOL 100X at UAF) and introduce a diversity of students in the early stages of their academic career to biomedical science.

  • Use pedagogical approaches to support and encourage participation of underrepresented students in biomedical science.

Applicants are encouraged to discuss plans with their department chair or dean, especially if the proposal requires a workload adjustment.
