University Relations

Early bird registration has begun for the Beat Beethoven footrace around the Fairbanks campus on April 16.

The race is a fundraiser for the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra. The race begins at 11 a.m., and participants who finish the 5-kilometer course before the last note of Beethoven's 31-minute Fifth Symphony will receive an admission voucher. The voucher is good at any symphony performance except the Holiday Concert.

Register online here.

Early registration, open through 11:59 p.m. April 11, costs $25. Late registration, from midnight April 12 until 11:59 p.m. April 15, is $35. Day-of-race registration is $45. You can register on the day of the race at the Patty Center as early as 9:30 a.m.

Bib pickup will be 5–7 p.m. April 11 at the Patty Center. Due to the size of the race, the symphony can no longer offer bib pickup at its office. If you miss bib pickup on April 11, you may pick up your bib and shirt on race day at the Patty Center starting at 9:30 a.m.
