Barbara Taylor to lead undergraduate research and scholarly activity

The Division of General Studies announced that Barbara Taylor, associate professor of biology in neuroscience, has accepted the position of director of undergraduate research and scholarly activity. Taylor completed her undergraduate work in biology at the University of British Columbia, Canada, received a MS in marine biology in 1990 and a PhD in marine biology from the University of British Columbia in 1997. Following postdoctoral positions at the University of Calgary and Dartmouth Medical School, she moved to UAF as an assistant professor in 2003.

She will begin her duties on July 1, 2011 and will continue her teaching and research activities. Taylor can be reached at 474-2487 or betaylor@alaska.edu.
