Ballaine parking lot drainage work planned

As some drivers have noticed, the new drainage ditch at the entrance to the Ballaine
parking lot needs to be modified. The work must be done when conditions are dry. UAF
Design and Construction is planning to conduct the repairs the week of Labor Day, weather permitting, and
estimate it will take two to three days to complete.
The work is expected to be done in the evening, and the lot will remain open. Until
repairs are complete, please use caution and drive slowly across the ditch. Drivers
with low-clearance vehicles should consider driving into the Ballaine lot via the
Taku lot.
