As Sure as God Made Little Green Apples March 23 and 24

Revive the Red Tent was one of five Alaska non-profits selected for a Pride Foundation
grant. Members of Revive the Red Tent have spent the last four months interviewing
local members of the lesbian community. Based on these local interviews, Revive the
Red Tent created the theatrical piece As Sure as God Made Little Green Apples through a process of butoh, contact improvisation and modern dance.
This original theatrical piece is a blend of text and movement reflecting the experience
of growing up and coming out as a lesbian in Fairbanks, Alaska. The piece, an hour
in length, is performed by Fiona Zachel and Anna Gagne-Hawes, and will be presented
at 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24, at the Empress Theatre, 535 2nd Ave,
#615.
