The 5th annual Student Support Services Holiday Food Drive provided food boxes to to 16 students and their families, helping more than 32 people during the holiday break.

The SSS staff members thank everyone for supporting the drive. Not only were faculty, staff and students generous with food donations, but monetary donations totaled more than $200. This money was used to buy perishable food for the families, including, milk, cheese, eggs and bread.

Remaining food and money was donated to the Wood Center Pantry to help support even more UAF students.

One student sent this message: "Thank you for your efforts with the food boxes. … The food I received was greatly appreciated. Thank you and Happy Holidays."

SSS serves first-generation college students, students with documented disabilities and low-income students. For more information please visit www.uaf.edu/sss/.
