Public lectures and presentations to commemorate 40 years since the 1971 passage of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act continues to take place on campus this fall.

Byron Mallott will share his reflections on the impact of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act on Alaska at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13, in the Wood Center Carol Brown Ballroom. A reception will follow.

Mallott, founding president of the First Alaskans Institute, has been active for more than 40 years in both public and private sectors in Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, and nationally.

The ANCSA Impact Series is coordinated by the Department of Alaska Native Studies and Rural Development in conjunction with the UAF Chancellor's OfficeCollege of Rural and Community Development and the UA Office of Academic Affairs and Research.
