Alumni association to produce new directory

University Relations

For the first time in almost a decade, the UAF Alumni Association is creating an updated alumni directory. The organization is working with a third-party vendor called PCI. Representatives from the vendor will be calling, emailing and sending postcards to graduates. Their goal is to have a conversation with as many UAF alumni as possible to confirm the accuracy of the university's data and fill in any information gaps.

Theresa Bakker, the executive director of the UAF Alumni Association, said the project will help the organization connect with constituents and facilitate their connections to each other.

"Our goals are strengthening our connection to our alumni, learning how they want to be engaged and introducing alumni to our new online engagement platform, Nanook Network," Bakker said.

Up-to-date alumni information is essential for developing career-mentoring programs to benefit both students and alumni. UAF graduates also have the option to provide updated information via the alumni website. This project will also give alumni a chance to purchase the new directory, which is only available through the vendor.
