Workshop offers alternatives to violence

The Alternatives to Violence Project is offering a three-day, active, experiential workshop to teach ways to deal with conflict in a person's private life, work or community.

The workshops will take place Oct. 24-26 in the University Park Building on 1000 University Ave. The Friday workshop is from 6-9 p.m.; the Saturday and Sunday workshops are from 9 a.m.-6p.m.

The workshop fee is $100, though sliding scale and scholarships are available. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

These events are sponsored by the Alaska Peace Center, Chena Ridge Friends Meeting, UAF Communication Club and the UAF Non-Traditional Student Organization.
