Alternatives to shuttle tracker service

The shuttle tracker system was shut down this semester, which I can understand in light of the recent budget cuts to the university. However, I don't think the current system of vaguely setting the shuttle schedule as "continuous __ minute loops" is a good alternative. This tells me nothing about when to expect the shuttle at a given stop - the most information that I can get out of this is that if I wait at a Yukon stop, for example, it will take anywhere from 0-12 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. This is completely unhelpful, especially to those of us that rely on the shuttle to get from lower campus to far upper campus buildings (e.g., Murie) during the winter.

As an alternative, I would suggest that a schedule be created like the MACS transit system, where we can at least be given a general outline of the times that we can expect the shuttle to arrive at any given stop. I understand that it can be difficult for the shuttle drivers to stay on a specific schedule, but I think this is a far superior alternative to the current situation.
