World-renowned concert pianist Vladimir Feltsman will give a performance with the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra Sunday, Nov. 4, at 4 p.m. in the Davis Concert Hall. The Russian-born virtuoso spent eight years of artistic exile in his own country before being allowed to leave the Soviet Union. Arriving in the U.S. in 1987, he gave his first concert in North America for President Ronald Reagan in the White House.

Feltsman will perform the Beethoven Concerto No. 5 for Piano and Orchestra, with Eduard Zilberkant conducting. Also on this All-Beethoven concert is the ever- popular Symphony No. 7. Director Zilberkant will deliver a pre-concert lecture at 3 p.m.

Tickets are available at the symphony website and at the door one hour prior to the concert.
