2012-ABW Alaska Business Week is now accepting applications for the 2013 program on the Fairbanks campus from June 1 - 8. This program is designed to give high school students hands-on experience in running a company. Their company will compete with other student-designed companies to arrive at a winning strategy while discovering their own leadership skills.

Students live in the dorms, eat in the dining commons, enjoy the academic and social atmosphere, and get a taste of college life. Students earn two college credits upon successful completion of the program. The total cost for this program is $475, which includes the tuition for academic credits, instruction, room and board, course materials, and use of the college facilities. Some scholarships are available on the basis of demonstrated financial need.

Applications are available by mail or online. The application deadline is May 15, with preference given to those who apply by May 1. However, applications will be reviewed and processed on an ongoing basis until all spaces are filled. Information regarding this program is available on the Northern Leadership Center website, or contact them at 474-5942 or acmiller3@alaska.edu.
