Alaska Book Festival kicks off with book sale

The fourth annual Alaska Book Festival will kick off Friday, June 25 with the Gargantuan Alaska Book Sale from noon to 8 p.m. at the Alaska Centennial Center for the Arts in Pioneer Park.
The University of Alaska Press, nonprofit organizations and authors will offer hundreds of new and used books for sale, including Alaskana titles.
Admission to the sale is free. For those wanting an early viewing, a $10 fee offers preview access, available from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
