Borealis Bistro offers Italian menu today

The Borealis Bistro's menu theme for March 5 is Italian cuisine. The entree choices include spaghetti carbonara, pizza margherita, pasta with sausage and clams, braised short ribs and chicken cacciatore.

The bistro is open Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hutchison Institute of Technology at 3770 Geist Road. It's operated by the UAF Community and Technical College's culinary arts and hospitality program.

The bistro offers an entree, beverage and choice of soup or salad for a fixed price of $12. It also offers appetizers and desserts for $4 each. Espressos come in a variety of flavors and prices.
