ACEP lecture to focus on ground source heat

The Alaska Center for Energy and Power will host a community lecture Tuesday, May 17 at 6 p.m. at the Blue Loon on the Parks Highway.

The lecture is titled “Ground Source Heat Pumps – Using the Earth to Heat Your Home.” Ground source heat pumps are widespread across the United States, but the practicality of using them in cold climates is still under investigation. Alaska researchers who have studied systems in Alaska and other cold-weather regions will speak about options for homes and businesses
