The Alaska 4-H program will host Unleash Your Wild Side, a healthy living camp that uses science, technology, engineering and math, Jan. 3 in Fairbanks.

The holiday break program is open to all youths ages 7-13. Young scientists will go on safari. They'll learn about jungles and other ecosystems and about how STEM fields help us understand these ecosystems. Other activities will include games and cooking healthy foods inspired by the safari.

The camp will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Room 108 of the University Park Building, 1000 University Ave. The registration fee is $7, and spaces are limited. Register at http:/bit.ly/4Hevents by the Dec. 28 registration deadline. For more information, contact Reina Hasting at 474-2437 or rhhasting@alaska.edu.

4-H is a youth program of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service. The camp received support from the National 4-H Council, the Walmart Foundation and Google.
