2021 Pride Month at NDAC

flyer contains same basic info as announcementThis Pride Month, the Nanook Diversity and Action Center is offering several events to celebrate all parts of the LGBTQ+ community.

We'll be kicking off the month with a picnic at Pioneer Park! Join us Saturday, June 12, at 6 p.m. at the Moose Creek Pavilion for food, games and fun! Food will be provided and the event is open to the public. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We will be following all park, CDC and UAF guidelines.

We'll have a virtual event through the Shine a Light Speaker Series on Monday, June 21, at 6:30 p.m. Ronnie Houchin will be presenting on past and present movements for LGBTQ+ equality. Please register here.

Finally we'll be hosting Bikes and Brews, a biking event on Friday, June 25. We'll meet at 4 p.m. in the Taku parking lot and bike to Pioneer Park. Then we will meet at the UAF Pub for trivia and drinks. Nonalcoholic beverages will be available. The bike portion is open to all, but you must be 21 or older to enter the Pub. (Be sure to bring your ID!)
