The elves are busy on the UAF campus as many departments and programs plan events to ring in the season. Here is a compilation of activities and events open to the public:

UA Museum of the North holiday sale
Through Dec. 24, UA Museum
Discounts include 25 percent off Alaska Native baskets, whalebone sculptures, ties and scarves. Save ten percent on all other store merchandise. The museum will also be open 11a.m. - 4 p.m. from Dec. 26 - Jan. 4, including New Years Day.

Cooperative Extension Service holiday sale
Through Dec. 23
CES’ popular berry cookbook, "Collecting and Using Alaska Wild Berries and Other Wild Products," is on sale for $7. The cookbook features recipes using blueberries, raspberries, lowbush cranberries, chokecherries, fireweed and more. Pick up your copy at CES offices statewide. Institute of Arctic Biology Large Animal Research Station annual holiday bazaar
Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., UAF Wood Center

UAF Bookstore customer appreciation sale
Dec. 4-6, Constitution Hall
Visit the Nookstore downstairs for 25 percent off everything except textbooks and technology. Hours are 7:45 a.m. - 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and noon - 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Georgeson Botanical Garden holiday sale
