National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration research scientist Jeff Short will discuss carbon dioxide emissions and their effects on ocean acidification during a statewide teleconference Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m.

The teleconference will focus on the effects of acidification on the marine life in coastal waters of Alaska, including the potential for mass extinctions.
