Apply: UA Teacher Internship Scholarship

Feb. 20, 2026

The University of Alaska is providing scholarship support to students pursuing teacher certification. This is the fourth year of the UA Teacher Internship Scholarship. The scholarship covers tuition and fees at UA Schools of Education as well as a stipend of up to $10,000 to offset living expenses during the critical full-time internship. Visit the UA Teacher Internship Scholarship website to learn more and apply by April 15.

If you know someone who would be a great teacher, please share this opportunity. UAF students completing an undergraduate Elementary or Secondary education degree can apply in their last 60 credits. Individuals with a bachelor’s degree in a field other than education are also eligible for the scholarship and can enter a post-baccalaureate pathway for Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education that can be completed in 1-2 years. Alaska’s next generation of teachers is right in front of us — let’s support them.

If you would like more information about this scholarship and other ways the UAF School of Education is working to remove financial barriers to entering the teaching profession, please contact uaf-soe-afford@alaska.edu.
